A 49-year-old woman from Raviwar Peth was reported dead at Sassoon General Hospitals. The cause of death is said to be type-1respiratory failure and severe acute respiratory distress syndrome in COVID-positive pneumonitis. The patient had anaemia, diabetes and hypertension.
Maharashtra reported 14,888 fresh COVID cases and 295 deaths on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 7,18,711 and death toll to 23,089. Also, 7,637 patients were discharged after full recovery. So far, 5,22,427 people have been cured. The state has 1,72,873 active cases.
