Thai researchers from Mahidol University have described a simple method for reducing blood pressure without medication. During the experiment his participants with hypertension, the condition has improved thanks to the use of seed extract of black sesame.
Experts invited to participate in the experiment, 30 people at an average age of 49 years. Volunteers were divided into two groups, with the first daily gave 2.52 g of an extract from sesame seeds, the second sub-group was offered a placebo. The experiment lasted for months, and the researchers found that in the first group pressure in patients decreased by 6%, which is comparable to the influence of drugs. This effect, they note, indicates that the hypotensive effect of this product.
In another similar research study involving 843 volunteers, scientists from the Menzies Institute of Queensland medical school in Australia has proved that sesame seeds reduce blood pressure due to the presence of fiber, polyunsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols, calcium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium and vitamin B1.
