HYDERABAD: Actor Rajinikanth’s blood sugar levels are still on the higher side, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, said in a statement released on the actor’s health condition at 10.30am on Saturday.
“Based on his investigations and control of blood pressure, a decision on his discharge will be taken by the evening,” the hospital informed.
The actor who was shooting for his forthcoming film in Hyderabad was admitted to the hospital on December 25. In the health bulletin issued on Saturday morning, the hospital said he was ‘progressing well’ and that he had an ‘uneventful night’. “His blood pressure is still on the higher side although under better control than yesterday,” the hospital said.
Rajinikanth is scheduled for a further set of investigations on Saturday and the reports will be available by evening.
“His blood pressure medications are being titrated carefully and he will continue to be under close monitoring,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that four members of a film unit tested positive for Covid-19 in Hyderabad on December 24. Rajinikanth who was part of the shooting tested negative. But because of his blood pressure condition, he was admitted to the hospital.
