VENICE — OneBlood is adding a second day to its blood drive at Venice City Hall to accommodate interest by prospective blood donors.
The blood drive is now scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesdday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
OneBlood officials encourage all City of Venice employees and members of the public who feel well to donate the “gift of life” aboard the Big Red Bus to ensure that blood is available for those patients who need it.
It must be 56 days since your last whole blood donation.
COVID-19 does not pose any known risk to blood donors during the donation process or from attending blood drives. Donors are asked to wear a mask and will be socially distanced aboard the bus.
Each donor will receive a free OneBlood long-sleeve T-shirt, a $20 eGift Card that can be used at a variety of merchants, and a free appetizer coupon for Carrabba’s Italian Grill, along with a wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening, and a snack. All donors will receive a free COVID-19 antibody test.
Additionally, give blood two times between January and April and get a $25 Carrabba’s eGift Card.
ID is required.
