Police Commissioner Gary Griffith, the executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, and its officers have extended condolences on the sudden death of Acting Inspector Danraj Maharaj.
He was last attached to the Morvant Police Station.
Maharaj, 49, complained of chest and back pains around 5:30am today while at his home in Cunupia.
He was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility where he was pronounced dead. It’s suspected that he died as a result of a heart attack.
His body was removed pending an autopsy.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
