Nueces County reported five new COVID-19 cases and one related death on Saturday.
There have been 20,456 coronavirus cases total, of which, 508 are active.
Two of the new cases were confirmed positives and three were probable positives. There have been 15,884 confirmed positives and 4,569 probable positives.
There were zero new cases reported by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The state has reported 4,043 of Nueces County’s cases.
Nueces County reported a woman in her 70s died from the virus on Saturday. The patient’s pre-existing conditions included diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, a news release from the county said.
Nueces County has had 412 COVID-19 related deaths since the onset of the pandemic.
There were 72 COVID-19 patients in the hospital on Friday, with 26 in the ICU. There have been 2,642 hospitalizations and 19,536 recoveries.

* The number of people recovered will not be subtracted from the total number of cases, officials have said.
